How tutu and costume hire works
Choosing a piece is only the beginning. Every tutu and variation costume hire includes a mandatory in-person fitting in Carindale, Brisbane, before the hire period starts.
1. Browse and enquire
Explore the tutu collection or ask about variation costumes. Tell us which piece interests you, your performance date, preferred hire period and any sizing questions. We will discuss current availability with you.
2. Book your in-person fitting
Arrange your fitting at least five working days before the hire period begins. The fitting lets us measure the garment on the dancer and adjust hook-and-eye closures for the intended fit. We cannot fulfil a tutu or costume hire without this appointment.
3. Confirm and collect
Your booking is confirmed once the hire fee and refundable $200 security bond per tutu or costume are received. After fitting, the piece is prepared for pickup on the agreed start date. Collection and return are by appointment from Carindale, Brisbane. We do not post hire pieces.
4. Care for the piece and return it
Use the protective bag provided and follow the care instructions given at collection. Keep delicate fabric away from food, drink, damp conditions and sharp jewellery. Please do not wash, dry clean, iron or repair the piece yourself. Notify us promptly if damage occurs. Return the piece by the agreed date; the bond is refunded after inspection if it is in its original condition.
